St James’ Church, Taunton

With the emphasis on the baroque era, we will welcome Pam Canter to play a suite for recorder and strings by Neapolitan composer Durante. A concerto for 4 violins by Vivaldi and more Albinoni complete the baroque part of the programme. Moving on 1-2 centuries, works by Tchaikovsky, Bruch and Elgar are also featured.

This month we continue with our presentation of the concerti grossi of Albinoni and Handel. Not on the earlier publicity, we will include the best-known of Bach's Brandenburg concertos, number 3 in G.
