Laurence Blyth conducts Wellington Choral Society in an eclectic programme of music which includes three of Handel’s Coronation Anthems, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mendelssohn’s Hear my Prayer and Elgar’s Benedictus, with Héloïse West (soprano) and David Davies (organist). Taunton Concert Band's annual spring concert at The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre features a wide variety of music to suit all tastes. The band under the baton of Martin Wills, who has been the musical director for over 30 years, is considered to be one of the best symphonic windbands in the Southwest.
Edward Goater conducts Taunton Choral Society, accompanied by Taunton Sinfonietta, in Mozart's famous 'Requiem'. Also on the programme is Michael Haydn's ' Te Deum', the 'Nonet in F Op31' by Louis Spohr and Joseph Haydn's 'Insanae et Vanae Curae'.
