St John’s Lunchtime Concerts, A Garland for the Queen – The Mornington Trio

A programme of English song to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee Year. A mixture of works from this Elizabethan age and the last, with some of Her Majesty’s favourite pieces. Soprano, Margaret Aagesen Hughes, whose voice has been described as “liquid gold”, will be accompanied by Andrew Carter, piano and Lynn Carter, oboist.
