Blackdowns Early Music Projects – Missa Superba

Blackdowns Early Music Projects are delighted to welcome ANDREW PARROTT as guest director for this project, internationally renowned for his groundbreaking work with the Taverner Choir, Consort and Players (and much else besides) and winner of the 2014 York Early Music Festival Lifetime achievement award.
On May 4th Andrew will give a pre concert talk and will take questions at 5.45 pm , followed by the concert at 6.30 pm
In this programme you will hear the first UK performance of Johann Kerll’s Missa Superba, together with other music from 17th century Vienna, including works by Pachelbel, Fux, Capricornus amd others.
