Our first concert of 2024 continues our exploration of the delightful concerti grossi of Albinoni, and another of this genre from the acknowledged master of the form, Handel. Mary will play the only violin concerto composed by Pergolesi, and the programme includes the Pavane and Chaconne by Purcell, and two short evocative pieces by Sibelius. We will end this programme with the Serenade for Strings by Lennox Berkeley.
