Taunton Festival of the Arts – Somerset Song Prize 2017

The third event of its kind, the Semi-Final and Final rounds of this prestigious competition will take place over the second week-end in May 2017.  Dedicated to the art song form, singers aged 18-26 will compete for a first prize of £1,000 with an identical amount also being awarded to that equally important partner, the pianist.  Come and hear the finest young singers and players from all over the UK in an event which will help to place Taunton firmly on the cultural map.  The Competition’s patrons are Elizabeth Watts and Roger Vignoles, and the adjudicators will be equally prestigious names from the singing world.
