BEMP is offering two concerts of early to mid C17th century German Baroque music over the Bank Holiday weekend, encompassing two ends of the musical spectrum in scale. Come and enjoy a Sunday afternoon concert served with tea and cakes in the magnificent setting of Brympton House. Music for voices and instruments from 1600-1750. Choruses and songs by Handel, Vivaldi, Bach, Purcell, Monteverdi and others.
In the lead up to Advent, Amici will perform Handel’s ‘Messiah’ with quality soloists and orchestra including the renowned trumpeter, Crispian Steele-Perkins This concert is in aid of the NSPCC. In a combined choir of over 200 voices, Wellington Choral Society, together with Exmouth and Exeter Choral Societies, will be performing Ralph Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony, under the baton of their shared Music Director, Laurence Blyth. They will be accompanied by the Exeter Symphony Orchestra and the concert will take place in the magnificent surroundings of Exeter Cathedral. Tickets, when available, will be: Nave £15, £12 (bookable in advance). Side aisles £10 (available on the night only).

A candlelit service following the traditional format of Nine Lessons & Carols. Participation in congregational carols. The event is a ticketed event but there is no charge. A collection will be made during the service. It is advisable to book your ticket in advance. Tickets are available from December 1st.
