St Georges Church,Taunton Map | 27Holocaust Memorial CommemorationHolocaust Memorial CommemorationTime: 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm The Taunton’s Annual Commemoration for Holocaust Memorial Day will again take place at St John’s Church. This year’s theme is “Ordinary People”. The County Council Choir, “Canticle”, and students from Queen’s College will be making musical contributions and Chief Executive of Heritage SW, Tom Mayberry will be speaking about local people who made a difference. This event is organised by a small collection of community representatives and Somerset County Council. It’s purpose is to remember acts of genocide and their victims including the Holocaust. It is a civic and secular event with people of all faiths and none welcome. The programme will include music and the lighting of candles.
