DESCRIPTION:Simply September\nThree short works\, a folk song arrangement ‘Sir Roger de Coverley\, some Piazzola\, and the two Elegiac Melodies are included in this programme. Alma Orr-Ewing will play the ‘Lachrymae’ for viola and strings by Britten\, which will partner one of the Dowland ‘Lachrymae for Strings’\, written some 400 years earlier. An arrangement of a very early quartet by the teenage Mozart\, and forward a few centuries to the (not so!) ‘Simple Symphony by Britten complete our early Autumn programme\, at 7.30pm in St James Church Taunton. Tickets via the web site\, Taunton Visitor Centre and on the door.
