Amici – Handel ‘Messiah’ – in aid of NSPCC

In the lead up to Advent, Amici will perform Handel’s ‘Messiah’ with quality soloists and orchestra including the renowned trumpeter, Crispian Steele-Perkins This concert is in aid of the NSPCC. Wellington Choral Society – Ralph Vaughan Williams’ ‘A Sea Symphony’

In a combined choir of over 200 voices, Wellington Choral Society, together with Exmouth and Exeter Choral Societies, will be performing Ralph Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony, under the baton of their shared Music Director, Laurence Blyth.  They will be accompanied by the Exeter Symphony Orchestra and the concert will take place in the magnificent surroundings of Exeter Cathedral. Bridgwater Choral Society – Bach, Christmas Oratorio

Bridgwater Choral Society are celebrating their return to the lovely parish church of St Mary Bridgwater with a performance of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio.  Iain Cooper will conduct, with full professional orchestra led by Brigid Kirkland-Wilson and soloists Charlotte Newstead (soprano), Fiona Mackay (alto), Guy Withers (tenor) and Martin Haessler (bass).  Tickets are £12 unreserved (£10 for Friends) and accompanied under 16s free, available via our website www.bridgwaterchoral.org or on the door.

St John’s Church, Taunton Carols at Lunchtime

Carols at Lunchtime, an informal lunchtime Carol Service to help us prepare for Christmas. St John’s Church, Park Street, Taunton. TA1 4DG Friday 8th December, 12.45- 1.30pm.  Doors open at Midday. Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir – A Harmony Of Song

At the Baptist Church in Taunton: a Christmas Concert The New Horizon Singers join up with the Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir in this most joyous concert of Singing and Laughter. The concert is in aid of the Musgrove Scanner Appeal and should be a great fun evening for all the family.

The Phoenix Singers – Service of Nine Lessons & Carols

A  candlelit service following the traditional format of Nine Lessons & Carols.  Participation in congregational carols. The event is a ticketed event but there is no charge.  A collection will be made during the service.  It is advisable to book your ticket in advance.  Tickets are available from December 1st. Wayfarers Pantomime Society – Aladdin

The Award Winning Wayfarers Pantomime Society return to the Brewhouse with a classic panto for 2018, Aladdin. The show is bursting with laughter, song and dance. The panto-famous Widow Twankey leads the laughs and is less than ably assisted by her son, Wishee Washee. Not to be outdone in the laughter stakes are local policemen Yu-Dun-Wong and Hu-Dun-Pong.
